Students Marathon Crosses Sirari-Isebania Border

Runners set off from Sirari on the Tanzanian side and crossed into Isebania, Kenya, finishing in the symbolic No Man's Land between the two border posts.

"This year's marathon carried a message against FGM across the Tanzania-Kenya border, alongside a cross-border tree-planting campaign."

The event, patronized by the County Commissioner of Migori, doubled as an awareness campaign against female genital mutilation, with a cross-border tree-planting initiative closing out the day.
